Esports odds converter

Start from any format

Type in any box — decimal, American, fractional or implied chance — and the other three update instantly.

Profit$15.00
Total return$25.00
The implied chance still includes the bookmaker’s margin — the margin calculator strips it out. Fractional odds marked ≈ are the nearest simple fraction.

How to use the odds converter

Start from whichever format you have and type it in its box — the other three update as you type:

  • Decimal: 2.50, 1.83
  • American: +150, −200
  • Fractional: 6/4, 3/1 or evens
  • Implied chance: 40% (the % sign is optional)

Add your stake to see your profit and the total return (stake included). Going from implied chance to odds works too: type your own estimate of a team's chances to see the price it's worth.

Example

A Valorant match lists the underdog at +150. With a $10 stake:

FormatValue
Decimal2.50
Fractional3/2 (often written 6/4)
Implied chance40.0%
Profit if it wins$15.00
Total return$25.00

Common esports prices in every format

DecimalAmericanFractionalImplied chance
1.25−4001/480.0%
1.50−2001/266.7%
1.91−11010/1152.4%
2.00+1001/1 (evens)50.0%
2.50+1503/240.0%
3.00+2002/133.3%
5.00+4004/120.0%

The formulas

  • American → decimal: +X → 1 + X ÷ 100; −X → 1 + 100 ÷ X
  • Fractional → decimal: a/b → 1 + a ÷ b
  • Decimal → implied chance: 1 ÷ decimal
  • Profit: stake × (decimal − 1)

The implied chance is not the "true" chance: it includes the bookmaker's cut. Add both teams' implied chances and you'll get more than 100% — the extra is the margin. Strip it out with the margin calculator, then compare with your own read in the expected value calculator.

Prices from different esports, converted

Lines look different from game to game, but the conversion is the same. A few typical prices:

MarketPrice shownDecimalImplied chance
CS2 Bo3, strong favourite−2501.4071.4%
League of Legends Bo1, underdog+1802.8035.7%
Dota 2 Bo2, the 1–1 draw4.504.5022.2%
Valorant map winner1.721.7258.1%
Mobile Legends match winner2.202.2045.5%

Two habits help. First, always check what the price is for: a Bo1 favourite is a weaker favourite than the same team in a Bo3, because one map is more random than a series. Second, remember that the Bo2 draw is a real outcome in some Dota 2 group stages, so a price on it is not a typo.

Esports Odds Converter FAQ

How do I convert American odds to decimal?

Positive odds: 1 + odds ÷ 100, so +150 = 2.50. Negative odds: 1 + 100 ÷ |odds|, so −200 = 1.50.

How do I convert fractional odds to decimal?

Divide and add one: 6/4 = 1.5 + 1 = 2.50. Evens (1/1) is 2.00.

What is implied probability?

The chance the odds suggest, worked out as 1 ÷ decimal odds. 2.50 implies 40%. It still includes the bookmaker's margin, so the implied chances for both teams add up to more than 100%.

How do I convert a probability into odds?

Type it in the implied chance box: decimal odds are 100 ÷ the percentage, so 40% = 2.50 (+150, 3/2). This is handy for turning your own estimate into the shortest price worth taking.

Are esports odds different from sports odds?

No. The formats and the maths are identical. What differs is the market: esports lines often carry wider margins, especially below tier one, so checking the implied chance is worth it.
