How CS2 betting works
CS2 matches are usually Bo3 series of maps chosen through a veto. Each map is first to 13 rounds. Markets range from match winner to map handicaps, round totals and pistol rounds. The single most important skill is reading the map pool — see CS2 map pool and veto.
The 2026 calendar
Team Falcons won the IEM Cologne Major in 2026, sweeping FURIA 3–0 — a first Major for star NiKo. The next Major is PGL Major Singapore (25 November–13 December), the first ever held in Southeast Asia. In between come BLAST, IEM and ESL Pro League events.

Format and scoring
- Maps are first to 13 rounds (24-round regulation, halves of 12).
- At 12–12, overtime is played in blocks of six rounds; the first to 16 wins the first overtime.
- Most events are Bo3; group openers can be Bo1 and finals Bo5.
- The map veto (bans and picks) decides which maps are played — the biggest single input into the price.
A worked example
Vitality are 1.45 to win a Bo3 and 2.40 to win 2–0 (−1.5 maps). The 1.45 implies about a 69% chance of winning the series, but the 2.40 implies only about a 42% chance of a clean sweep. If you think the opponent's map pick suits them, the safer match-winner bet makes more sense; if Vitality have a big edge on every map in the pool, the −1.5 handicap pays more. CS2 betting tips
- Read the veto — a team's win rate on its own pick is often far higher than on the opponent's.
- Check recent rosters — stand-ins and new signings change teams fast.
- Watch CT and T sides — some maps (Nuke, Ancient) lean towards one side, which affects round totals.
- Avoid tier-2 Bo1s — high variance and higher integrity risk.
