Rivalry, the Toronto-based esports betting brand licensed in the Isle of Man and registered in Ontario, has largely wound down. In February 2026, its board materially reduced the scale of operations while it looked for a strategic transaction, paused player activity on its platform and said it would continue to process player withdrawals.[1]
What happened next
- In April 2026, most of the company's senior executives and directors left, with founder Steven Salz leading the remaining business while a buyer is sought.
- In May, the Ontario Securities Commission issued a cease-trade order after the company missed its 2025 audited financial statements.
- From 30 June, its listing moved to a lower tier of the TSX Venture Exchange, with shares still suspended.
