Professor Quackstradamus’s verdict

“Crypto.com quietly runs the plumbing behind half the sports contracts in America. Its own app is solid — best if you already keep your money there.”

Where it’s available: Most US states (18+), but not all. Several states — including Arizona, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, New York and Ohio — were excluded or restricted for sports contracts in autumn 2026, and the list changes with court rulings. The app shows what's available where you are.

What we like

CFTC-regulated exchange and clearinghouse (CDNA)
Pioneer of US sports event contracts (Super Bowl 2025)
Fund and withdraw in fiat or 250+ cryptocurrencies
Wide range: sports, politics, economics, finance and culture

Watch out for

Only inside the Crypto.com app — no standalone web trading for predictions
Fee structure is harder to follow than Kalshi's
More state exclusions than Kalshi
Interface built for crypto traders, not prediction-market newcomers

Bonus terms, in plain English

Welcome offer: Welcome offers for new Crypto.com users (e.g. up to $50, terms apply)

Crypto.com has advertised welcome offers of up to $50 and limited fee-free periods for new users who've never had a Crypto.com account.[1] Eligibility rules are strict, so read the terms in the app.

Compare ongoing costs with rivals in our prediction market fees guide.

Crypto.com is best known as a crypto exchange and for its name on the Los Angeles arena. Less known is that its US derivatives arm, Crypto.com Derivatives North America (CDNA), was one of the first CFTC-regulated platforms to list sports event contracts, starting with the Super Bowl in January 2025. Since then CDNA has become a wholesale supplier of sports contracts to other apps, including Underdog, Fanatics Markets and — for player props — DraftKings Predictions.[2]

Crypto.com also sells those contracts directly to its own customers inside the Crypto.com app. That's what this review covers.

How it works

Open the Crypto.com app, go to the predictions section and pick a market. Each contract pays $1 if the outcome happens; the price, from 1¢ to 99¢, is the market's probability. You can close your position before the event. If you're new to event contracts, our page on how prediction markets work is the place to start.

Markets and liquidity

  • Sports: NFL, college football, NBA, NHL, MLB, March Madness and more — game winners and, increasingly, props.
  • Politics and economy: elections, the Fed, inflation.
  • Finance and crypto: price ranges for Bitcoin, Ether and stock indices.
  • Culture: awards and entertainment.

Because CDNA is the exchange behind several partner apps, liquidity on major sports markets is solid. Non-sports markets are thinner than on Kalshi or Polymarket.

Fees

Crypto.com charges per-contract exchange and technology fees with discounts for higher volume, and deposits are free.[1] Reviews describe the schedule differently, and some fees are waived on contracts that settle in the money, so the honest advice is: look at the total on the order screen before you confirm, and compare it with Kalshi's formula using our contract payout calculator.

Deposits, withdrawals and app

DepositsBank transfer, card and 250+ cryptocurrencies
WithdrawalsFiat to your bank or crypto to a wallet; crypto network fees vary
AppCrypto.com app, iOS and Android
Separate productOG, a standalone prediction platform from the same group

The app is packed with features — trading, cards, staking — so predictions can feel buried. Once you find them, ordering is straightforward.

Legality and safety

CDNA is registered with the CFTC as an exchange and clearinghouse, which means customer funds and rules fall under federal oversight. State pushback is the main risk: Connecticut, Tennessee and Maryland were among states that sent cease-and-desist letters to Crypto.com and other platforms, and Crypto.com has stopped offering sports contracts in some states.[3] See are prediction markets legal? for the latest.

How to open an account

  1. Download the Crypto.com app and create an account (18+).
  2. Complete identity verification.
  3. Fund with dollars or crypto.
  4. Open the predictions section and pick a market.
  5. Note per-contract fees on the order screen.

Support: Support is through in-app chat and the help centre.

Crypto.com vs the alternatives

  • Kalshi — more markets, clearer fees, wider state coverage.
  • Robinhood — another all-in-one app, simpler for beginners.
  • DraftKings Predictions — uses some of Crypto.com's contracts in a sportsbook-style app.

Crypto.com Predict: our verdict

Crypto.com is a serious, regulated player — in fact, a key supplier to the whole sports prediction market. If you already hold money in the Crypto.com app, its predictions section is a convenient and legitimate option. Newcomers will find Kalshi or Robinhood easier, and price-sensitive traders should compare fees carefully. See the full best prediction markets ranking.
