BetMGM Casino Review

BetMGM is the casino arm of a joint venture between MGM Resorts — owner of the Bellagio, MGM Grand and Borgata — and Entain, one of Europe's largest gambling groups. Since launching in 2018 it has grown into one of the biggest legal online casinos in the US.

The headline: if you live in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan or West Virginia, BetMGM gives you one of the largest game libraries available, strong state regulation and fast payouts through Play+ and PayPal. Everyone else can't play its online casino — online casino games are legal in only a handful of US states.

Games and software

BetMGM's lobby runs to thousands of games in its biggest states, drawn from IGT, Light & Wonder, NetEnt, Evolution and many more, plus BetMGM-exclusive titles you won't find at competitors. Highlights:

• Online slots — from classic Vegas-floor favourites to Megaways and branded games.
• Progressive jackpots, including BetMGM's own networked jackpots that regularly reach six and seven figures. Our guide to how progressive jackpots work explains the maths.
• Live dealer blackjack, roulette and baccarat from Evolution and studios linked to MGM properties. See our live dealer casino explainer.
• Table games and video poker at low minimum stakes.

The search, filters and "new games" sections are among the best we've used, and RTPs are shown in each game's info panel.

Payments and withdrawals

Deposits start at $10. The cashier includes Play+ (BetMGM's prepaid card), PayPal, Venmo, online banking (ACH), debit cards and cash at the casino cage of partner properties in some states.

Withdrawal speed depends on the method. Play+ and PayPal are typically the fastest — often within a day once approved — while online banking and debit cards usually take two to five business days. Your first withdrawal may sit in an internal review for a few days, especially if your account isn't fully verified.^[3] Verify early and use Play+ or PayPal for the quickest route. Our guide to casino withdrawal times explains each stage.

Mobile app

BetMGM's iOS and Android apps are state-specific — you download the version for where you are, and geolocation checks you're inside the state before every session. The apps are fast, keep the full lobby and make responsible gaming tools easy to find.

Rewards

BetMGM Rewards points are earned on real-money play and can be used on site credit — and, unusually, they link to MGM Rewards, so online play can count towards hotel stays, dining and shows at MGM resorts. For regular players that's real value no international casino can match.

Safety and licence

BetMGM is licensed separately in every state: the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, the Michigan Gaming Control Board and the West Virginia Lottery Commission, plus the AGCO in Ontario. US state regulation is among the strictest in the world — player funds are segregated, games are certified and complaints go to a state regulator. Read more in our safe online casino guide.

How to sign up at BetMGM

1. Download the BetMGM Casino app or visit the site while you're in an eligible state.
2. Register with your legal name, date of birth, address and the last four digits of your SSN — you must be 21+.
3. Allow location access: geolocation confirms you're inside the state every time you play.
4. Opt in to the welcome offer (or enter a partner code if one applies) before your first deposit.
5. Deposit at least $10 with PayPal, Venmo, a debit card, online banking or Play+ where available.

BetMGM Casino: our verdict

BetMGM is our top-rated casino for players in the four states it serves. The lobby is enormous, regulation is excellent, payouts are quick with the right method and the MGM Rewards link adds genuine value. The main limits are geography and a welcome offer that changes so often you'll need to check the app each time.
