How to use the roulette odds calculator
- Choose the wheel: European (single zero), French (single zero with la partage) or American (double zero).
- Pick a bet type — from a straight-up number to red/black.
- Enter your stake.
You'll see what the bet pays, your chance of winning each spin, the house edge and your average loss per spin.
Worked example
A $10 bet on red at three tables:
| Wheel | Win chance | House edge | Avg. loss per spin |
|---|---|---|---|
| French (la partage) | 48.65% | 1.35% | $0.14 |
| European | 48.65% | 2.70% | $0.27 |
| American | 47.37% | 5.26% | $0.53 |
Same bet, same payout — but the American wheel costs nearly four times as much as the French one.
Every bet at a glance
| Bet | Covers | Pays | Win chance (European) | Win chance (American) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Straight up | 1 number | 35:1 | 2.70% | 2.63% |
| Split | 2 numbers | 17:1 | 5.41% | 5.26% |
| Street | 3 numbers | 11:1 | 8.11% | 7.89% |
| Corner | 4 numbers | 8:1 | 10.81% | 10.53% |
| Five-number (0-00-1-2-3) | 5 numbers | 6:1 | — | 13.16% |
| Six line | 6 numbers | 5:1 | 16.22% | 15.79% |
| Dozen / column | 12 numbers | 2:1 | 32.43% | 31.58% |
| Red/black, odd/even, 1–18/19–36 | 18 numbers | 1:1 | 48.65% | 47.37% |
The house edge is 2.70% on every European bet and 5.26% on every American bet except the five-number bet (7.89%) — the worst bet on the table.
What the numbers don't tell you
The calculator shows probabilities for one spin. It can't predict streaks: the wheel has no memory, so red is no more likely after ten blacks. No betting system changes the house edge, though it can change how your results are spread.
