Nobody reads all forty pages. Here are the ten clauses that actually matter.

Miss Quackles has read more gambling terms and conditions than any duck should. The good news: you don't need to read them all. You need to find ten clauses.

The ten clauses that matter

  1. Wagering requirement — how many times you must bet a bonus (casinos) — see wagering requirements.
  2. Bonus basis — on the bonus only, or deposit plus bonus?
  3. Maximum bet while a bonus is active — break it and winnings can be voided.
  4. Maximum cashout from bonus winnings.
  5. Game weighting — which games count, and how much.
  6. Expiry — of bonuses, free spins, bonus bets or Sweeps Coins.
  7. Stake returned or not — for sportsbook bonus bets — see free bets.
  8. Withdrawal rules — minimums, limits, processing times, fees.
  9. KYC — when documents are needed — see identity checks.
  10. Dormant accounts — fees or expiry if you don't log in.

A quick method

  • Open the promotion's own terms first.
  • Search for "max", "expire", "wager", "withdraw" and "void".
  • Screenshot the terms on the day you claim — they can change.

If the terms are confusing or keep changing, that's a signal in itself — see spotting an unsafe gambling site.
